Our summer....so far.

Well, I can say this summer is already going by fast for me. Here are some things we've done:

A couple of weeks ago me, Taylor, Lily and a few friends that I gently coerced ran a race. Thank you Scott, The Evans family, Callie and Josh! The kids ran 1.2 miles and both did awsome! Ironically, this was just a few days after we got Lily's report card where it said that Lily needed to work on her physical endurance because her time for the mile wasn't up to the Presidential Physical Fitness Standard. Weird, huh? Anyone who knows Lily knows she rarely walks anywhere, she runs. Anyway...I should send her P.E. teacher a picture of her running this race, she was one of the first girls to finish! Ok, I'm getting a little sidetracked...here is Taylor after the race.

Here is Lily. Too bad she is so out of shape.

Me with Stephanie. Stephanie is a fantastic runner and I knew she would be up for the challenge. It was great to have someone to encourage me and keep me going while I ran.... She left me in the dust at around the 3 mile mark. I was actually just glad to have kept up with her for that long!

These are Travis' new toys. We've had a lot of fun driving these around our field. I'm just not so thrilled with all of the mud splattered clothes I get to wash, but other than that they're a blast.

Since Travis needed to be a good example for the kids and wear a helmet, I made sure he had one. This is Lily's bike helmet, it was a little small.

Holly, a little mud is good for everyone. Taylor is usually muddy any how. Besides, those look much safer then the wagon they were riding on before. Good luck with the stains.
