After much pleading, begging and groveling we got a dog for Taylor's 11th Birthday. He is a labradoodle and is 5 months old. I had to drive up to Bellingham to get him ( I kidnapped my mom and made her drive with me. It's about 3 hours one way, it's up by the Canadian border. I made her call my dad in the car on the way there and tell him she wasn't going to be home for dinner!) I got home late after the kids had already gone to bed. (2 minutes after we got home he pooped on my carpet--not such a great start) So, in the morning....Suprise! Lily slept through it but the boys were so excited--it was really cute.
So, after having him for a few weeks-we still love it. He's almost completely house-trained and he loves to cuddle. He's an extremely mellow puppy--which is perfect for me. (Although he does like to chase the chickens) He puts up with Arick's constant hands on love as you can see from the picture.

well, at least it was the kids pooping on the carpet b/c of the excitement! lol
congrats! you are officially dog people! cant wait to meet him in july!!
Yay for puppies!! But boo for puppy clean up... He's so cute and looks like he's settled in with the kids very nicely :D
Oh - and regarding paint colors. I LOVE the blue paint in your main bathroom. Seriously it's fabulous. I need a room to paint that color. I'm already brainstorming for our next house :)
